Vittoloni Ruins, Roselle
The archaeological area of Roselle includes the remains of the antique Etruscan castle of Roselle The overlapping walls and buildings belong to the Villanoviana, Etruscan and then Roman civilisations making this a very interesting place to visit, rich in history. You are able to see large sections of the surrounding wall and the walking track is about 2 kilometres long. It is said that Tuscany was originally part of Etruria. The Etrurian Kings founded Rome and centuries later the Romans murdered their king and founded the Republic. Etruria became Romes first conquest on the road to empire.
